WW2 CMP Ford Scout
Car Mk I “Lynx”.

Produced by Ford in
Windsor
Ontario in WW2 (3255 units
produced). Derived from the successful Daimler Dingo scout car, the Ford Lynx
was made in two variants Mk I and Mk II, and had 30mm Armor in the front, with
12mm in the sides and rear. This vehicle is only one of 5 complete known
survivors in
Australia
Hull
off restoration in 2000, all armor is original to the vehicle and has not been
rebuilt. Current engine is not the correct engine for this vehicle. The
conversion was done to a very high standard and no modification to engine mounts
or hull resulted. Therefore it would present no problem to a mechanically adept
person to rectify. Starts, drives & runs well, all new brake lines, wiring
harness, rebuild period instrument cluster, all hatches including roof hatch
open easily etc.
