U.S. Military M274 Truck, Platform, Utility 1/2 Ton, 4X4 "Mule"

Nice military vehicle collector's item. This is the M274A5 2 cylinder Continental-Hercules 2 cycle air cooled variety with 2 wheel steering. This Mule has 3 speed manual, non-synchromesh transmission with 2 speed transfer case. Lower speeds and high power (17hp) of the Mule make it a versatile off-road vehicle. It can climb over logs, go up steep slopes and cross rivers in first gear.

This is a museum grade restoration for both quality and completeness. This Mule comes with demil documentation from Barstow USMC logistics base and was an original  106mm combat mule....DoD decommission tag from USMC included with sale. This mule was an original 106mm rr mule and has the complete mount kit with all brackets fully installed by the USMC. Small items of the kit include: engine crank handle ( very rare ), correct cleaning fob rod with rag holder, ground tripod, three piece aluminum cleaning rods set, four practice rounds, straps for the rounds, and a USA manufactured T&E and 106mm recoilless rifle. 106mm is USA marked with nice USA serial number on the breech ring. The .50 spotter rifle dummy gun will be included but not shown in the pictures. Will be constructed from original spotter parts and include five correct .50 spotter rounds (live projectile but no primer in case) M79 elbow telescope also included. The vehicle is equipped with original  USMC electric start and alternator. No column switch as the USMC did not use those. Original and often missing tool box installed behind the battery holder. Has good tires. Vehicle won best 1/2 ton post war at AzHMTA show at Falcon Field in 2007. Operators manual included. Buyer may buy infrared sight that seller has for this vehicle for an additional sum to be negotiated.

This mule is painted in Marine Corps Forest Green (Gillespie 34087) and is in excellent condition, nice runner, sound engine. All accessories and components are there: mount cover in center of deck included, new canvas seat and back with nice seat frame. Tow bar installed underneath. Nice frame, engine shield installed (undamaged, excellent condition); good tires, straight deck rails. Deck is in perfect condition. Tank drained when parked and ran until fuel exhausted, new battery installed.  This mule is without defects and shows and runs well. No unit marking so open for your own stencils. All data tags included.
